about me!

Frederick, also known as Resident // Cryptid, is a Boston-based composer and classical violinist-turned-violist with a passion for storytelling across artistic mediums. Since graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2026 and beginning his MFA in game design at NYU (also in 2026), he’s been focusing on creating music for narrative-driven games with highly melodic (and often ridiculously adaptive) music.

Every now and again he’ll also record violin, viola, and baritone vocal parts for games and film! His strengths lie primarily within the orchestral world, having been a part of several youth and collegiate level ensembles since 2015 (one of which making it to Carnegie Hall in 2019!), but he’s been dipping into folk, electronic, and rock music as of late.

Besides music and games, he also loves drawing, reading, silly cats, and diving down research rabbit holes between midnight and three o’ clock in the morning.
